Corwin Subaru Supports Local Blood Cancer Patients - Brenda K

Recognizing that community support plays a vital role in the healing journey of cancer patients, Corwin Subaru delivered warm blankets to those receiving care at Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center on June 25, offering comfort and solidarity to individuals fighting blood cancer. Corwin Subaru customers were invited to write notes of encouragement to local patients as they visited the showroom in early June as a way to show patients that they are not alone in their cancer journey. Subaru of America and retailers across the country have been partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the past ten years to bring hope and comfort to blood cancer patients through the Subaru Loves to Care Initiative, supporting over 350,000 cancer patients in those years! The cancer center staff expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that acts of kindness in hard times can make all the difference in a patient’s journey. The genuine smiles captured in the photo showed the true passion of the care team and Subaru staff in caring for our most vulnerable patients. LLS volunteers, Jil and Anna Fiemeyer, were happy to attend not only this delivery to Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center, but also two other blanket deliveries in the Upper Plains region. Having lost their daughter/sister to blood cancer, their commitment to the LLS mission and other blood cancer patients has played an important role over the past few years. Thank you to all who participated in this special event, showing these young patients that they are cared for and supported!

Corwin Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Shellee B

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Moorhead, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Corwin Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Corwin Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/13/2025, Corwin Subaru donated 204 coats & 204 shoes/socks to YWCA Cass Clay. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Changing the Way We Think About and Support Memory Loss - Deborah K

June 3rd, 2025, was a pivotal day for over five hundred community members, caregivers, and health care professionals in the Fargo-Moorhead region… it was the day Memory Café of the Red River Valley hosted its 6th annual Redefining Memory Loss conference! Individuals living with memory loss, family members, friends, professional caregivers, medical providers, and business and faith community leaders from across a five-hundred-mile radius gathered to learn from our nation’s leading dementia experts Dr. Stuart McCarter, MD and Angela Lunde, MA from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Conference attendees offered superlative comments from the event: “Memory Café and this Memory Café conference are LIFE changing!!” “The day was wonderful! I have a husband with dementia-this was very helpful.” “Excellent conference! It’s so exciting to see how Memory Cafe has grown, your support of the memory loss community is invaluable! Thank you!” Corwin Subaru is not only new to our FM community, but they are also a first-year sponsor of this unique and vitally important annual community conference. When approached with the idea of sponsoring the conference, Brant Wilson, General Manager of Corwin Subaru, expressed immediate enthusiasm by stating a clear understanding of the need for high-quality dementia education given the growing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in our country and, more specifically, in our region. It was inspiring. Corwin Subaru’s generous support of our conference at the Advocate level ($3000) provides a clear example of a Subaru Love Promise to the growing memory loss community and to the mission of Memory Café of the Red River Valley. Thank you, Brant Wilson and the Corwin Subaru team!
